Board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease, Dr. Quadri received his medical degree from the Sindh Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1991. He completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Quadri was in private practice in Sheridan, Arkansas before joining AMS.
An internist who specializes in the care of adult patients knows there are three reasons why you should have a checkup, even if you are feeling well: To detect unrecognized disease; to establish an ongoing doctor-patient relationship in which you can be advised about a healthy lifestyle; and to provide reassurancepeace of mind that cannot be measured in dollars.
Preventive medicine is an important part of the internists approach to heath care. Through periodic reviews of the patients health, the internist can focus on early detection of potential problems. Preventive medicine also includes adult immunizations.
Your internist is also dedicated to diagnosing and treating illness, whether you have a common cold or a more serious problem. His goal is to treat the source of patients illnesses through medicine or procedures other than surgery. When a specialist in another field of medicine should be consulted, your internist will refer you to a competent physician in the required field.
Dr. Quadri provides a wide range of services including: routine Pap smear and checkup; treatment for acute accidental back injury, and weight-loss counseling. Many minor surgical and diagnostic procedures can be performed in the office. For those which cannot, the doctor will refer the patient to a specialist who can manage the problem.
An informed patient is a more satisfied patient.
Educating patients is an important part of the AMS philosophy. This means explaining your treatment in detail, providing you with literature on your illness or treatment, and generally making certain that you understand the care that is prescribed for you. The more informed you are, the better able you will be to participate in your progress, so we encourage questions.
